The following are the guidelines and procedures for the Damselfish in Distress Wiki. They are not hard and fast rules, but they are meant to keep the wiki neat and easy to follow. Let's stayed between the lines here.
It is highly recommended that editors use the Source editor for the instructions that will be found here in the guidelines. Many of the functions that will be needed to get the intended results cannot be done using the Visual editor. VE is fine for editing simple content and image placement, but templates and magic words are difficult to access without using SE. Not to mention the Edit tools menu in the Source editor.
Main Page[]
The Main Page is the introduction to the comic and its co-creators, Andreafishy and Citodraws. The rest of the page is meant to be a gateway to the wiki.
The gallery of characters needs to stay. It will remain at four or five images, because there's a link to a more comprehensive gallery of characters. The rest of the page is fluid and can always use some love.
Content[]
The meat and potatoes of a wiki, content pages are what the visiting readers are here for. There are several types of content pages currently available:
Follow the links above for detailed guidelines on each subject.
Uploading files[]
The only images that will be accepted here will be from the webcomic, from one or both of the creators, or are truly free to use. Most images here will be taken from screen captures of the comic.
To start uploading files, you can either hover over the three-dot menu and then select Upload New File
, select Upload file
under Page Tools on the right-hand sidebar, or just click here
. When you get to the Upload screen, follow along with the prompts.

The Edit tools menu is a quick-pick of frequently used markups that is only available in the source editor; the visual editor has other tools for the less detail-oriented editor.
